countries.

the Caribbean. The programme provides advice and guidance, professional
development opportunities and grants to schools that are using school
partnerships as a means for developing a global dimension within
their curriculum.
The types of
activities that can be funded include:

up to £1,650 for reciprocal visits that lays the foundations
for long term, collaborative work that aims to embed a global
dimension within the schools respective curricula.

are able to apply for funding of up to €1,188 to study best
education practice in another country and meet with other European
decision-makers. Visits usually last 5 days and typical themes include
Quality in Education, Preventing School Failure, Language

each Spring. Applicants must be nominated by their local authority
or employer by the May deadline.

Awareness Fund - Mini Grants Scheme (UK)
Grants of between
£1,000 and £10,000 are available for projects that raise
awareness and understanding within the UK of international development
issues; of global interdependence; of the need for international

three years. The types
of projects funded in the past include working with refugees
to raise development issues, incorporating development issues into
